Major Milestone: ABC Receives Second Round of Berea College Appalachian Fund Support
Appalachia Book Company is proud to announce that we've been awarded a second round of funding from the Berea College Appalachian Fund for our Blood Roots podcast project!
This continued support validates our approach to reframing Appalachian balladry as a living tradition and storytelling mechanism. The Berea College Appalachian Fund's investment demonstrates their confidence in our mission to make these important cultural stories more accessible to general audiences through innovative radio plays and original music recordings.
This funding will help us move forward with production, allowing us to compensate our talented creative team and ensure the highest quality presentation of these beloved ballads. The support also reflects our shared commitment with Berea College to preserve and promote the literary and cultural heritage of central Appalachia.
We're grateful for this partnership and excited to use this support to bring authentic Appalachian voices and stories to new audiences through the podcast medium. The project continues to embody Appalachia Book Company's core mission of empowering regional voices to tell their own stories.
